Andy amazes guests at Farmfoods Moulin Rogue Evening...
On Monday 28th and Wednesday 30th June 2010 at The Walkers Stadium Leicester, Andy was delighted to attend and perform at the first of Farmfoods Moulin Rogue Evenings, which continue throughout the year as Farmfoods, the frozen foods specialists reward their staff by putting on 12 fabulous, themed events nationwide.
After the champagne reception, fine dining and wine; Andy made sure that even the most reluctant revelers were up on the dance floor, toe tapping and shaking their funky stuff throughout his 40 minute set. From the soulful funky beats of Even If to a powerful acapella rendition of The Greatest Love of All Andy’s natural stage presence and soulful voice ensured the dance floor was full and judging by the rapturous applauds and cheers from the guests; they were definitely left wanting more!!!
Andy was in great company for both evenings. The fabulous Willie Thorne, former snooker player and current TV personality was on hand to host the evenings, Leeds United and England footballer Duncan McKenzie provided a funny and entertaining insight into the bygone world of football past whilst the fabulous vocalist and pianist Anthony Kinsey entertained guests during the champagne reception and throughout dinner.
There is no doubt that Andy made certain both evenings were X-tra special, not only taking to the stage and performing but also by signing autographs, having his picture taken with guests and helping out at the charity raffle. After two unforgettable evenings, Andy is looking forward to the remaining events, taking to the stage and making sure all the guests have an extraordinary time in Leeds, Runcorn, Oxford and Scotland.

Andy Set for Incredible Charity Bike Ride
[Posted 24.06.10]
Andy Abraham is set for one of the biggest challenges of his life as he will attempt to ride from London to Paris covering an amazing 300 miles in just four days to raise money for ever-deserving charity; The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, of which Andy is a patron.
The ride will begin in London on the 8th September at Blackheath and Andy will arrive in Paris on the 12th September. Andy has not ridden a bike since childhood but has already been in training in the gym and is set to start training with fellow rider, Nottingham Hotelier James Blick of The Finesse Collection, a group of luxury hotels in the East Midlands.
The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is a small charity that supports the families of young infants diagnosed with a rare eye cancer - Retinoblastoma (Rb). Andy is a patron of the charity and has set the bar high for his first fundraising challenge. As well as the challenging bike ride, Andy will be helping to publicise CHECT as much as possible when performing and making appearances on television.
Andy recently visited the Live at Studio Five team to talk about the Eurovision Song contest, discuss his plans for writing new material and of course mention the bike ride!
Andy is optimistic for the bike ride saying;
“I haven’t been on a bike for years and this will certainly be a challenge and I am looking forward to putting in the training and taking the challenge on in September, CHECT is such a great cause and as patron I felt the ride would be an ideal way in which I could help to raise money for the them”.
With just over three months before the incredible challenge takes place Andy is urging as many people as possible to pledge donations for the bike ride. People wishing to make donations can do so easily by visiting Andy’s ‘justgiving’ page at www.justgiving.com/Andy-Abraham1
This is a great cause and Andy will endure one of the most challenging and interesting experiences of his life and will hopefully raise a great amount for CHECT!
